The Donald E. Long School Program is an accredited juvenile detention education program located at the Multnomah County Juvenile Justice Complex that provides educational services to students currently detained by the legal system from Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties. This program provides credit attainment, individualized education plan services, and English language learners services to students who are detained, awaiting trials or hearings at the Multnomah County Donald E. Long Juvenile Justice Complex.

 

MESD and the MEA union are currently engaged in contract negotiations and the salary listed in this job posting reflects the rate for the 2023-24 school year. Upon ratification of the collective bargaining agreement, salary adjustments will be made for the 2024-25 school year as applicable.

Schedule: 235 days beginning July 1 through June 30

 

POSITION PURPOSE: 

Provide direct instruction to students lodged in Donald E Long Juvenile Detention Center.

Work is performed in a juvenile detention facility subject to moderate/loud noise. Work is performed in-person.
